I have a chance to buy one and need a little feedback if anyone owns one on how they like them and how they shoot. Thanks

I don't own one, but one of my hunting buddies did. He did not like it at all. He said it was a pain to prime and did not get good groups, no matter what he tried.  Like I said I have not tried one, Also I am not a Knight fan.

Buy the Vision or wait until June for the new SP1. The Revolution has multiple issues. The Revolution II is improved, but better buys from Knight & T/C exist.

Hello,

You didn't specify Revolution l or ll. If its a "l" DO NOT BUY it. And I am a Knight fan, and TC. Knight has produced some great guns. The Rev l is not one of them. I own a Wolverine. Its awesome. So what do they do. They discontinue it. And a TC Omega. Great rifle.  I guess they are history too now.

I have about 6 hours experience with a Rev l that belongs to my dad. He bought it new not knowing much about inlines. He didn't touch it for two years. He prefers his round ball shooters. I then volunteered to sight it in and get him started with it. Here are the problems I encountered:
1) Trigger was horrible. Had a lot of creep, heavy and totally inconsistant. Way below the Knight standard. I think my Wolverine came stock with a Timney.
2) They are NOT easy to clean as advertised. A standard 209 primer belches soot all over the trigger mechanism which I had to clean with a mascara brush for 30 minutes or more.
3) To "solve" this I switched to shooting my small rifle primers in the Variflame adapters. I use these successfully on my Wolverine to avoid sooting up my scope. Theyr'e great. With the adapters the Revolution only fired 70% of the time. I don't mean the charge didn't fire. The PRIMER did not detonate! Really annoying. Made a very small dent in the primer. Then I went back to the 209 and got 90% ignition. Can you imagine hunting with an inline that goes off 90% of the time?
4) This was over a really frustrating 3 days. Best group I got was 4 inches. Tried lots of bullets.

5) The rifle was I think abnormally heavy.
Finally I gave up. If it was mine it would have went back. My dad has since contacted Knight. They sent him an updated trigger assembly. It did a little better. Then they told him to unscrew the breeech plug a half turn every time so the pin hits harder. Thats a lot to mess with for a $500 rifle. "Oh shoot, my buck got away because I forgot to uncrew my breech plug a half a turn."

Again...Knight is very capable of producing a great rifle. I think they got a little ahead of themselves with this model. I would be careful of the Vision also. I read one review of it so far and it was not real positive. Can't remember where I read it. My guess would be Chuck Hawks.

I guess I'll stick with Omegas and Wolverines (if I can find one somewhere). Good luck. My apologies if anyone loves their Rev. This was my experience with one gun. But...even if it did function well it was heavy and a pain in the neck to clean.

I think you made a wise decision. I had the light firing pin hit problem also, sent it in and they replaced the reciever. As was said the trigger was terrible and it was a pain to clean. Also it just felt cheap to me, loose and flimsy. I purchased it when they first came out on line for a good price, and like an idiot bought it on the hype instead of looking at one in person.

To give credit where it is due though, the customer service at knight was excellent, very helpful and quick to act on my problems. Maybe another model is the better choice.

As for me I'll stick with my encore.

Thanks Grimm, I have a T/C Black Diamond and like it. I have a rain check for a Omega camo ss thumbhole for 400.00 but figured I would try out a knight also. I'll try and find a disc elite or exteme for a reasonable price new or used if there are any out there. Again thanks
