357 Rem Max question
« on: February 08, 2007, 06:46:20 AM »
Found one of these barrels in my safe  (23") for my carbine and was wondering if anybody loads cast bullets for target shooting with one of these? Are they reasonably accurate barrels or should I not waste time and money playing with it? Thank, Tom

You'd be crazy not to experiment with that one.
Try some 180-200g .359-360" dia LBT's from www.montanabulletworks.
For target only, I would get some IMR Trailboss.

My favorite was
185 gr. Beartooth gas check hard cast
heavy dose of AA1680
Rem. cases
BR4 primer

makes a smokin good medium range deer gun.

Mine was a 1-14 twist that shot those very well.
