Win sx2 problem

I asked on the win. forum but got no replies. My super x 2 started throwing fire out of the side when the shell ejects. Anyone ever seen anything like this?

The SX2 is a self adjustiong gas operated weapon. While I've little experience with the SX2 these types of weapons sometimes exhibit accelerated bolt speeds if the gas bypass becomes clogged by carbon or fouling. The accelerated bolt speed causes the bolt to open before the pressure has dropped completely in the barrel. This can escape as a flash from the ejection port.  Also how much flash are you speaking of. A small amount of flash is not unknown..

I've seen this when I've been shooting trap at dusk and under the lights with my reloads in my SX2. I reckon the low light makes it easier to observe this. My gun seems to function fine otherwise for me.

These were factory loads during midday. The fireball was not normal. It was about the size of a basketball. Gunnut is the bypass the ports in the gas piston?

A fireball at midday is not a good thing!! As I said I've no real experience with the SX2 but have seen similar problems helped by a good cleaning.. Be sure to get the carbon out! I've included a diagram link below..
