Identify a used ML.
« on: January 15, 2007, 11:00:52 PM »
A friend of mine was given a used muzzleloader.
It's a traditional looking one.
Hex barrel, rifled, brass forearm end cap, brass trigger guard.
No manufactuer on it.
Barrel says: Springfield Hawkins  Spain  .50 cal.
Percussion cap, but the nipple/side plug is missing.

Any idea who made this and where parts can be gotten?

It looks like the one at the Traditions site:

My friends has a brass front sight, fixed rear sight dovetailed for windage and plain sided buttstock.
