Wedding is tomorrow
« on: January 19, 2007, 03:32:05 PM »
New son in law owns about 3500 acres ,consisting of fields woods and marsh /waterfront ..OH yeah ;D ;D ;D Now of course its only fittin that he lets his new pappy in law have access , since after all i AM letting him marry my baby girl, ;) ;) On a more serious note  hes  a great guy cares about nature and big time conservationalist(sp)  he recently put a perpetual easement on a 1000acre tract so it cant be devloped and want to make sort of park there , but there is still plenty of hunting space ..

Oh yeah speaking of shootig at clays last weekend soon to be sil and i shot at some clays , man did the pardner ever come through ....  form 10-15 yds  all the way out to where the  they started to fall   it was a liitle tough  at first  the last time i shot at clays was in 1972 at the rod and gun club in germany when my dad was stationed over there... again the pardner showed me what a great little gun  that it is ,,,, that slipon recoil pad  was great  after 3boxes and some slugs  and 2 doubleoo bucks i was ready to call it a day , but sure was fun

Hey longjohn, I am now officially getting a little worried, the invitaion did not come in yesterdays mail and if I wait until the mail today I will not be able to get there in time...I guess it got lost in the mail huh?
Oh well that OK, this way I can save the money I was going to spend on a present for them and buy myself a new Pardner for when you invite us all down there for a hunt, is that OK with you?....<><.... ;D
I'll just stand by the phone for a call...................

Congrats and good luck to the newlyweds. My only question is why didn't you hire my wife to take the pictuers or rent anything from me? just kidding I'm a few miles up the road. That's a pile of acerage for that part of the state. Make my puny 200 acres sound like a back yard or some thing. Be proud that he's from a family that values conservation. I'm considering puting my land into a conservation easement. I could cashi it in and never work again but I'm just so sick of seeing farm after farm turn into subdivisions that I couldn't imagine doing it. So is his family local royalty or rich folks from accross the bay?

MSP I'm closer if you want to chase some rabbit until feb4th I think.
PROUD REDNECK CONSERVATIVE

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Thanks Markus, but not this year at least. You are right about that expansive acreage though, it does makes my 128 acre Maine hunting camp seem small, but then again your 200 acre farm makes my camp look small also. We are all blessed....<><.... :)
