no more whelen's
« on: January 18, 2007, 08:27:47 PM »
A few days ago I sent an e-mail to NEF for the cost of fire sights and to buy a 35 whelen accy brl. on my SB2 frame. They responded that they are no longer selling accy brls. or complete rifles in this caliber. Is tis old news or did I miss something. What next???

They've had a lot of problems with improper chambers and the mini shoulder of the .35 Whelen factory ammo, so I don't doubt they discontinued it, there have been numerous complaints about it here. It's unfortunate that they chose to discontinue it instead of giving it a proper chamber, tho. Those here that handload for it, including myself, don't have a problem with it, they're very accurate.
