Price Check

Could you guys give me a good/fair guess at what a .44 mag Shikari is worth?  It appears to be in fair shape.  Also, are these rifles known to be bored correctly and shoot better than the .44 I have now?  The last thing I want is to end up with another one like I already have.  Thanks.....

Hi Wolfgang,

I bought my Shikari 44 mag for 350 Canadian. My rifle is very accurate out to 80m with open sights. Check out that  the barrel is not cut off, and the cleaning rod original. Check the hinge for play as well, although a little play seems to be normal. Fun to shoot. Recoil is very little due to the heavy barrel! Trigger is a bit on the heavy side.

Cheers

Martin

Thanks Martin.  I've got a .44 mag Handi that is a newer model but it's overbored and has been giving me fits.  Is the rifling on the Shikari's cut?

Thanks,

Wolfgang

Wolfgang, have you seen the below post of a trade for a .44 Mag barrel? I don't know why he wants one but it might work better for you....<><.... :)
