Dura-Touch....any experience with it?
« on: January 17, 2007, 10:44:46 AM »
Does anyone have experience with the  Dura-Touch® Armor Coating that Browning use on some shotguns and a-bolt TI? Was wondering how durable the finish is. I really like the feel of it when you are holding the gun, but was concerned that the finish might not hold up. Any input would greatly be appreciated.

I had the dura touch on an abolt stalker, I liked it, it seemed to hold up up very well, it was a little tougher than wood or syntheic, it didn't sratch as easy.

Thanks wis_sharpshooter . That's the feed back I was hopeing for. I looked at a 20 gauge BPS turkey gun and a a-bolt with this finish and was sold on the apperence and feel. Was just looking for feedback before I purchased one.

I just bought a 270WSM with the Dura-Touch in the Mossy Oak Brush. It looks great, has a good feel to it, and seems to be pretty tough.

I really liked it on the day when I was hunting in the rain. Synthetic gets real slippery to me in the rain. This seemed to keep some grip too it.

I wasn't so sure about it when I got the rifle, but after hunting with it a few times it seems to be superior to the plain jane synthetics...that's just my opinion.

Go for it and get the Dura-Touch.

I have a 204 varmint stalker in duratouch and I love it. I have had it about a year now and have no complaints of any kind about anything, and I am not a Browning fanatic and a mater of fact this is the first and only one I have owned.
