MultiTasking bore guides
« on: January 20, 2007, 08:21:38 PM »
Are there bore guides that will work on more than one caliber?  That seems wrong to me but @ $20 a pop I thought I'd ask.  Just got the 30-06 Handi in addition to my Savage 10 in 243 and my grandpas old 22.  What's the word?

I already had my eye on the Contender bore guide for this Handi but I'd still like to know if there are bore guides that will work on more than one caliber;)  Both the Savage .243 and the old Marlin/Ranger .22 are bolt guns.

The brass and nylon cone shaped rod mounted muzzle guides will work in most bolt guns, they work fine in my Marlins, but the long type with a solvent port work better.

THNX Quick.  I like those a lot.  I found a universal model that will service all of my rifles.

Also, while I have your attention, these were the rings you recommended for the Handi if I'm not mistaken;
(Burris 1" Signature Zee Weaver-Style Rings Matte Medium).

I just use a drilled out case as my bore guides for my Handi's . They seem to work fine. ;D
