«

I have a new S&W .460 Mag and I am going to hand load for it, the only brass I have been able to find is StarLine and it is kind of pricey, anyone know If Hornady is going to release brass for sale to the hand loaders ??
Thanks

Check on Midway USA they might have a few to choose from. I was lucky to know a guy that gave me about 50 once used brass from his 460. He doesn't reload. I don't shoot it much, except for hunting so I have been using the brass from the two boxes of Hornady ammo I bought when I picked my 460 up. Brass has jacked up in the recent year and everyones prices went up. Hope this helps

hawgmaster ...
A new .460 mag S&W ? Wow ... I handled the first one that came into our area gunshop and it sure is a sweet handgun. I remember the display they put out for the new cartridge (months before the handgun was available) that had a .460 round attached to it telling us about the world's fastest handgun. That was really impressive.
Anyway, I am not sure if you have used Starline brass or not but it is my choice for my .45 colts and .357's. I use Winchester brass in all of my rifles but Starline is my preference in handguns. I think it is of high quality and I get a considerable number of reloads from each case. I also never found any quality issues when buying their product as I have in rifle brass.
Good shooting to you ...

All my brass was ammo I bought from Hornady and shot up, I also have a couple of guys that shoot the 460 Mag and give me there empty cases. I have only 20 of the starline cases and all the rest is Hornady. Put an add in the classified's for once fired 460 Mag cases. There are some guys that don't reload and would be willing to sell you same brass, I'm sure. Good luck

If you have to buy some, you'll like the Starline brass
