Ciener conversions
« on: January 25, 2007, 07:35:40 AM »
I bought my son a new Ciener 22 conversion on E-Bay for $150. Once I got the clip to seat properly. the frame had an extended ejector, it worked perfectly. I bought another, a used adjustable sight model and am very happy with it. It needs to break in a little but looks like it is going to work quite well. Does anyone out there have an opinion on these conversions? So far they seem to be accurate and reliable. I like they way the gun ends up feeling, not as heavy as a 45 but more than most 22s. Is there a round that works better than most others? Anything to aviod? So far I am so pleased that I might bid on one for my Highpower. Shotgunner

I think you'll be happy with it. Not personally familiar with that model, but do use the Marvel conversion a lot. The only advice I can give you is to find out whether it's made for target or high velocity ammo, then use what's recommended so you don't batter the unit.

The most endearing thing about mine is that it's like the 45 I shoot, so when I'm practicing with the 22 I'm getting 45 practice at the same time. Great concept.  I was skeptical at first, but thought I'd try one. It wasn't long before I became an advocate.

Although it's not for your unit, take a look at the "hunka hunka burnin love" post about my Marvel.

I have a Kimber conversion on a 1911, and I like it a lot.  It is very similar to the Ceiner.  I intend to get a Ceiner for my Browning Hi-Power.
