I have one in a 30.06, it feels great to me. You can't tear it up with the finish on the XCR for sure..
I agree the rcoil pad is like no other and works.
I bought this rifle with one thing in mind, to use it in extreme conditions.. rain, sleet & snow. I'm afraid I'm going to use it more than I thought, mine is a very good shooter.
odds are with the prepared.....

Just got one in 7mm remington ultra mag.
I am slow to embrace plastic stocks, but I think this one will grow on me.
I know that recoil pad is like none other I have tried, I love it!

I have one in 375 H&H.  It is nice.  I own a Ruger All Weather as well(30-06).  The grips are nice.  That recoil pad is awesome.  The ruger will be getting one this fall as well.  The gun is well balanced and shoots good groups off hand with no scope.  The kick is similar to a 12 GA with slugs , not bad for a 375.......

I have one in the 375 RUM. I think the stock is great. I have the R3 pad on a couple remingtons and they seem to work but the difference to me is not overwhelming. I haven't tried the xcr in the field but I do think it will be great. My RUM has a 24" barrel. I like the new stainless steel finish too, it definately has a different "look" to it.

I've been told that most remingtons now ship with a simms vibration limbsaver recoil pad.  It's a great pad no doubt!

I have noticed a wierd thing happening.
I have the XCR in 7mm RUM.
The recoil pad takes out the recoil, but what I notice most is the sudden pressure change in my sinuses.
Just finished off the first box, doing the break in thing, but I am really falling for this rifle!

It's definately noticeable but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I can shoot 10 times with a t-shirt without getting sore. I don't really have much to compare it too but I have a remmy 700 RMEF 2004? 300 mag with a R3 on it and to be honest with you there isn't a huge difference to me. The 375 definately kicks a little more and the barrel jumps higher but that 300 still snaps pretty good. The 375 just interested me more than the H&H. It is pretty light in weight for a 375 but nice to carry. Buy any xcr, you won't regret it. If you do sell it to me for a reduced cost. My caliber prefernces are 338 rum or 300 rum.

Hi Tanoose,

Just a note to say I went with the 375 HH. I also use the Zeiss 3x9. This rifle shoots  3/4" groups with the TSX Barnes. It's hard to imagine a better all around rifle for any game you decide to hunt. Mine is headed to Canada for a bison hunt next month and Africa next June. Best of luck.

Please post a picture of the 375.   I have the 30-06 and the more I use it the better I like the stock.

I have the XCR in 30-06 and just ordered one in 375 RUM.  Since the 375 has open sights do you need medium rings if you leave the sights on or do you have to remove them?  I was thinking of quick detachable but with the recoil I am concerned about
weaver style rings holding up.

Don i use the weaver grand slam steel rings on most of my rifles along with the leupold QRW ( quick release weaver style) low rings this not only allows you to switch to your sights but you can also have two scopes for the same rifle. for example on the 375rum some may want a 1x4  or 1.75x6  for close encounters  and then you can switch to 3x9 for long range elk or plains game. I even use this on my dee rifle  i have a 2x to use with 220 grain bullets  for close range shooting and then i can switch to a 3x9 for hunting fields with 150 grain bullets.

I ordered mine yesterday.. I wanted the 2007 model for the new trigger.  One problem is that they could not promise me that I would get a 2007.  I did see one of the 2006 triggers, I do not think that they are bad except for the weigt.  at least I know how to adjust that with no problems.

Well, I was very worried about my xcr purchase.  I wanted the 2007 trigger.  Well, my rifle came intoday with a 2006 trigger.

BUT WAIT!!!  The dealer and I was amazingly suprised witha crisp, short pull at 4.0 lbs.  It is a better pull than my Browning, and Marlin.  There was no adjustments.  Trigger was set that way from the factory.
