Survivor and Tamer Questons
« on: January 28, 2007, 08:12:50 AM »
Is the stocks and fore ends on the survivors and tamers NEF's  own stuff or are they actually Chaote's stocks ? they sure look the same to me, i'll give into that the Chaote's have  a plate type covering over the shells and the NEF's are exposed, ( Choate could have left off that feature for NEF ) but other then that they sure look like the same porduct.  I have handeled the NEF stocks and they are well made, nicely textured and seem very sturdy.. alot like the Choate pieces.
anyone have thoughs on this obsevation ?
Glenn

They are made by Choate for NEF & H&R.

Its not a dumb question. The only dumb question is the one not asked.

right, well i just wanted to be sure of what i was ordering.. i matched the tamer stock ( shell holder ) with the survivor fore end ( storage caveity ) , i got the barrel cut down and recrowned .. going to paint it ( baked on flat finish ) will make a nice utilitarian blasty..
