New Sniper rifle.( Be nice if it was a Milsurp already)

Have you folks seen the new Sniper rifles that have recently arrived in Afghanistan?
It fires a huge cartridge that is called the .408 Cheyanne Tactical. This thing is a brute.
I am going to try and post a Pic. The "Small" case is a 30-06. They say it is based on the .505 Jeffreys (gibbs) necked down.

Is it made by the Britt's?  The Britts were using the 338win.mag i think for a longtime.  I like it the more power the better to sit the bad guys down and forget about them yup bigger is better.......

I am pretty sure that the .408 is an American creation.  Who else but us always looks for way to be bigger and badder?     If it's the gun I say in an Outdoor Life sidebar a couple of months ago, it is a bad looking machine.....it weighs 25 lbs!!

I think it is actually made in South Dakota. It is supposed to surpass the .50 Browning
in some areas of performance. There is a Show on T.V. called  "WEAPONOLOGY"
It was highlighted on one of those shows. It is , According to the show, already in use in Afghanistan
and Iraq The CheyTac M-200 (rifle that fires it) is already making a statement in the shooting world and now holds the world record for best long range group , according to the statement, it put 3 bullets within 16-5/8 inches at 2,321 yards.

American made!  This looks like it may have resulted from the long range shooters, and is to compete with the .50.
