several Proposals to reclassify Black Bears
« on: September 16, 2010, 06:27:20 PM »
The game Board is meeting in Anchorage in two weeks.  I recieved the list of proposals today.  There is a whole bunch of them to reclassify Black Bears to Fur animals.  That way they can be trapped and the fur sold.  I have been pushing for that for the last ten years.  Looks like it is finally going to happen.

Now we have to go through a training period to teach trappers how to target Black Bears, and not get Grizzlys.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I'd like to hear how they teach the trapper to release a grizzly if they do catch one!   ;D

Don't think it works like catchin an ol' hound dawg in a coyote set...  ::)    :D

With a trapping license you can shoot or trap the fur bearers. I do wonder what the limit will be.

ROFLMAO...Eggzactly what I was thinking.  Ive had my hands full with an ol' boar coon in a 1 1/2 coil spring.  Couldn't Imagine pinning down a Grizz with one hand while opening the trap with the other.
