NEW BARRELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got my new stuff today.  445 supermag, 500S&W with precision rifle works break, and a 357 max.  What a combo.  Now for the real question, what kind of effective range can I really expect from the 445 on deer and hogs?

I am not certain I will be keeping the 500 and the max is probably trade bait as I already have one, but I have been dying to get the 445.  Just seems like an awesome idea.  I big caliber that hits harder than its little brother.

We will have to try the 500 and see how it works for me.  I am not too sure about the permanent break.  I like to be able to hunt with my guns and the permanent break means having to wear protection in the field.  I am not too fond of that idea.  We will have to see how much I enjoy it.  But wow, what a thumper!

Congrats on the new barrels.  If you do get rid of the 500 I would like to have first dibbs on it for a fair price.

You need to talk to Digger , and some of the other Ok boys , they swear by the 445s for hogs and deer . and for the 500 , Me thinkin that ear plugs + muffs

I can't believe precision rifle works closed as we knew it.

I've shot several hogs with mine,1 was at 140 yds.and it hit the left hindqaurter breaking the leg,travelled on to the right front shoulder and breaking the right front leg. The 265 gr. Hornady travelled 37" before stoping under the skin,mushroomed to .720". The load chrono'ed 2166 fps.with a near max load of 296.  Hope this helps.  Digger
