Tried some handloads in 32-20

Finally got a .312 sizer for my cast bullets in my 1894CL.  I worked up a load using HERCO and a 100 gr. RCBS SWC.  I neck sized the brass only.  I was really hoping for 1/2" groups at 50 yds.  (the last 2 Marlins would do this), but figured I would have to work at it a bit.  Well, first group was .6" second was .5".  With my current 6 year old prescription glasses, I bet it will do even better.  I never intended to scope it, but I am really considering it now.  Definately won't be selling this one.

that little rcbs swc is a hell of a bullet. To bad you missed the group buy on tje CAST BULLET forum as we did a 6 cavity copy of it thats about identical.

Thanks Lloyd, I started using the RCBS mold because it was the only flat point mold I have in 32.  After seeing how it shoots, I'm reconsidering getting the LBT I wanted.  A 6 cavity would have been nice.  I am surprised at the lack of leading with this plain base bulet.  I am using LBT Blue Soft lube.  Any guess as to how fast it'll go before leading?

ww probably 12-1300 #2 about 1400 5050 ww lyno 1800 lyno or water dropped ww about 2000. Thats if your bullet is sized properly for your gun and you continue to use a quality lube like lbt soft.
