I was at a gun show this weekend and I picked up a marlin levergun in .375 win. I took a lap around the show hoping someone else might buy it. When it was still there, I had no choice. I hade been looking for a marlin for a while and had not seen a good deal on a 35 remington. I would have been happy with a 30-30, but really wanted something with a little more power for pigs and bears.
anyway, bought this one in great shape, clean well cared for. I didn't know much about the 375 win. There was only one vendor at the show that had any 375 win, but at $40 bucks a box, I held out. Ordered some from reed's ammo at about $18 per box.
Anyone who shoots this caliber have any info? best bullet weights, bullets? How is the recoil?
