Rem. Models 31 & 11-48, 48 Sortsman
« on: January 28, 2007, 04:51:33 AM »
Just curious if anyone else is shooting these?  Have all 3 in 16 gauges and really like them.  My main intrest is SxSs, but sure like these shotguns.  Have not found a pump shotgun any smooother than the Rem. 31.  Also always looking for extra barrels for these in 16 ga.

I have 3 of the model 11-48 shotguns in 20, 16 and 12 there the best of both worlds they have the internal working of the Browning Auto 5 and the handling of the 1100 I have used them for the last 25 years.

I agree with you.  I have a Belgin Sweet 16 and find I like the 11-48s as well or better.  To bad Rem. can't make a 16 on a 16 or 20 ga. frame.  I see they dropped the 870 and 1100s in 16 this year.  Thier own fault putting them on 12 frames.

I've got an 11-48 28 gauge and used to have a .410 but it went away in a complicated 3-way trade for a Savage 99.  Wish I still had the darn thing since you seldom see one.  Nice little shotguns.  I've not shot much of anything with the 28 - a few dove and a handful of rabbits and some backyard clays - but I like it.  -WSJ
