I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with the White Muzzleloaders especially the Grand Alaskan model that is no longer made. It was a 54 cal that had a 24 inch stainless steel bull barrel with a green laminated wood stock that was designed to shoot the big 750 grain slug. My other question does anyone know where a person might be able to find that model. I have already contacted Doc White and he did not have one for sell, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have a 45cal White M97 and M98 with a Super Safari full lenght stock.  I love them both, but my favorite is the M98.  I would email  Doc White at Doc@whiterifles.com and see what he can do for you.  I'm sure he could build you one and it will be a shooter as he builds them himself.

And of course Ed is right, the White 98 Elite Hunter is a superb rifle.  And Doc would likely be the best source.  I recommend a synthetic stock if available as I'm not too crazy over White's laminated stocks.
