plastic stock on a 416 Taylor

  Will a plastic stock hold up on a 416 Taylor?

   The wood stock that is on it is Too pretty to hunt with!!!  The action is a 98 Mauser, and has an extra recoil lug . I would most likley glass bed and aluminum piller bed the action.

   BUT would it stand up to the recoil?

Short answer, yes!  Bedding the action to the stock will still be a wise move.  Great cartridge!
