Bipod Question

Can a person install a harris bipod with sling swivels on a beeman RX2 air rifle? If so. What specifically do I buy.And how do I proceed to install it.I want the bipod installed on the stock if possible not on the barrel.

Well nobody that owns one is saying anything but as the owner of a Diana 350 I would say I wouldn't.  Both are heavy recoil magnums.  The bipod will not do any good with the hard recoil that the gun has.  Heavy recoilers like the RX2 need a soft grip (hand, gel pad) and putting a bipod onto a hard surface will make repeating the same shot more difficult.  At least that's that most everybody told me.  I didn't even attempt it but now I'm curious if it would be possible to get the bipod to somehow have a spring or something soft incorporated into it so it has cushion to it.  Try asking this question at www.yellowforum.com.

I think you're right about the hard surface.I tried to fire the rifle several times laying it on a foam benchrest surface and could not get my shots to place in the same spot every time.But while holding free hand,it goes right to the center of the bull.I don't know if theres a bipod that would act the same as holding free hand.

I'm almost positive it doesn't exist but that would be a huge seller I think.  I'm going to look at gel mouse pads to see if there is some way to fit a piece of it between a bipod and stock somehow.  That or the spring idea.  The spring would probably be easiest to work with.  I am thinking something like the way a spring works on a coilover or strut on a car suspension.
