Surplus Ammo
« on: May 08, 2003, 04:12:19 AM »
I just got a case Of the Romanian 8mm Mauser
(760 rds) This stuff is nice!  1974 production!
Comes in a sturdy wooden crate with 2 380 rd.
cans inside. A LARGE can opener is included in the case.
"THIS STUFF IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT TO OPEN"
(But it gave me something to do last night While I
was in the basement waiting for the storms to pass.
I live in central Ga, and mother nature seems to have
P.M.S. here this week!)
Nice laquered cases with 154 gr. boat tail bullets.
Now I just Hope My Turks like it!
Vir prudens non contra ventum mingit
"A wise man does not pee against the wind".

S.Sumner just think about trying to open that can during a war?? How else would they do it? Some of the surplus cans had a wooden pull with a wire that went around the can on three sides opened it up and you just bent the flap. The pull knob looks like a small pull start?? I guess we have it made with cheap surplus ammo available to us right now. I love it cheap guns and cheap ammo it just makes shootin affordable. Till I bring out the modern stuff I just look at $30 a box for ammo(338) and kring??
