« on: November 10, 2006, 07:32:38 AM »
Just curious, how many of you get this magazine?
I advertise in 3 places. Here on Geaybeards,The Wisconsin Trappers association news letter, and TPC magazine.
I am now thinking about 2007 advertising and where to spend my money.I just doubled the size of my ad for Dec in TPC,and will see what transpires.

We don't have that one on the stand where I pick up my mags, but then they don't carry many predator/varmint hunting mags there. The one I do check out from time to time is called Predator Hunting it is by F&W Outdoor sports. And I hate to say it, but I didn't know you were a sponsor here. What is your product?

Tom,

I will have to check it out, I don't do any trapping, and I am just getting into shooting predators more seriously that what I used to.

I read Fur-Fish & Game cover to cover.  It is a great outdoor magazine for people already familiar with the out doors.

I believe you know that I get T&PC ???  I knew you wrote some for them but what I've heard is rumors of a book??? Your wife said you wrote a book but your holding out on the public :-)

So you sell supplies??  Do you sell the "whatsamacallits, that hook on to the thingakabobs, that keep the whole fadangle, from going snap???? Lost my last one in the woods and can't find replacements anywhere LOL!

Tom, that magazine (t&pc) comes here with our paid state membership dues. I used to get FFG and still pick that one up on occasion at the news stands where available. I love trapping, but have so many offseason hobbies also and just found that the FFG covered more of these in offseason for me such as fishing, etc.
I apologize for not ordering products from you, Tom. I may give you a try this year though. In past I could pick up just about anything I needed at our local fur buyer here. I ordered equipment and lure/bait from another MN company for years though. Long story short, the local buyer has changed horses in midstream and now sells property and homes, and I was able to locate a decent local buyer but he doesn't carry supplies. I am always in market for an equipment and lure/bait vendor though. I dont' generally buy a lot of traps as I have way more than I ever set in any season now, but I always need certain equipment such as bullet stakes, and of course, a big old box of lures and bait assortments.
You know, I'll just go one further here and will make my new year's resolution to make my such purchases from now on from the Bogmaster. Sound good?
Thanks Tom for all of your years of help, comments, suggestions, and wisdom. My rat and beaver lines have never been the same (thank goodness) and I truly enjoy perusing this forum for information on my favorite subject.

Tom - I receive TPC and the WI Trapper with my WTA membership.  I also subscribe to FFG.  I always notice your ads in the first two.  I usually make my purchases from you at the conventions.

Tom     If you go through the T.P.C. and count the number of ads for supplies it's a wonder any body gets remembered. The best bang for the advertising buck is the classifieds in the magazines,T.P.C. and Fur,Fish and Game. The people looking in the classifieds are already looking for supplies.I have a friend that built a very successful lure and supply business this way.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!
