Never had the box as I picked mine up in 7-08 2nd hand. I think it started out as an early LSS, but by the time I got it it was in a tupperware OEM stock with an old 3-9 Widefield on it
. I soon switched that out for a B&C Carbelite which wasn't much better and now to a B&C Medalist. Someday I hope it wears a Bansner or if I win the ice classic a Mickey. 6x42 Leupold in one piece Talleys for optics. Trigger is OEM tweaked for crisp letoff. Never bothered to bed it - shoots fine as is.
I got it thinking it would be a good deer rifle for my son, but he soon moved on to a 338. Now it's my go to rifle for uphilling on alpine deer and goat. Also taken a couple caribou with it (really prefer my 280 for that) and keeping it in mind in case I ever draw a good sheep tag.
Ammo selection started with 139 Hornadys and I tried some 120 XBTs and 140 Partitions along the way to get to my current favorite the 140 TSX. Max loads of RL15 and Varget work. It will shoot any of those at MOA or better off the bench, but I recall I had to really work to get the Partitions to do that.
