Anybody chronied .30-30 150 gr T/C Loads in their Handis?
« on: February 15, 2007, 01:32:00 PM »
Just wondering.

I have several loads of 3031, Re7, and 748 ready to be chronied, but it'll be at least Sunday before I can get out and do it--and it's driving me nuts.  I'll have H335, H332, and AA2460 next batch.

 Anybody got any numbers?

I've tried several 150 grain spire point loads using 3031, Blc-2, Varget, H322 and some others but nothing that I was real happy with so never chronographed them. Hope you come up with a good one ... like to hear about it. Think we use the same 130 grain load.

Thanks Dillohide,

The only other 150s I've shot from the Handis have been Rem factory loads and the 150 Ballistic Tip-- and like you I was not happy with the accuracy and went with the 130s so I never chronied them.  What's odd is that I got much better accuracy with all loads in .30-30 with the old stick powder than 748, H335, etc.  Guess you just can't improve on some things!

If the weather will cooperate I'll get out this weekend with the F1 and will post numbers here.
