Sig GSR?

Im looking to get my first 1911,and have narrowed my choices down to the Sig GSR. Before i buy, i would like ya'lls opinion on this pistol.

It has a unique appearance. From what I've heard some people get along fine with them while a few others have nothing but trouble.

It looks cool and the gun rags give it rave reviews.  Sigs are known for their reliability, but you should try and find one locally to see how it feels in your hand.  They don't fit my hand as well as a traditional 1911.

they had teething problems when they first came out and I believe halted production for a bit
supposedly all resolved

It is produced only in the states and from what I have read they do not have the same level of reliability as Sigs.
That said, I have heard that the reliability of the Sigs produced here these days is not the quality of a couple of years ago.
