Jim, CZ does have some models in the 6.5 Swede.  I am saving for a CZ 550 FS - a full stocked model. I think it looks great and the CZ's are reasonably priced with an excellent reputation for quality and accuracy.  I have a Ruger M77 MKII as well, but I do not believe they make those anymore in that chambering.  I am sure there are a few others out there - Tikka and Sako come to mind.  It is easy to get an Encore barrel from the TC Custom Shop, or many other custom barrel makers.  Hope you find what you are looking for.  The Swede is a great round.

I bought a model 96 Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55 and had it customized into a modern sporter rifle, new trigger, barrel cut to 24 inches and recrowned, bolt handle turned down and the knob flattened like an A-Bolt. This gun is amazing. Groups under 2 inches at 200 yards.
Just an option to consider.

I had a Savage short action made into a 6.5 Swede.  I had a Shilen barell installed which is longer than the original, and it really changed the balance for the better.  Next, a timney trigger .  It did make a difference, real crisp break.  The magazine had to be changed to a longer magazine to accomodate the 6.5.  Also, the gunsmith made a back cut in the receiver to accomadate the longer shell.  All and all I am pleased.  I can say that I know of no one in Florda with a  left-handed Savage 110DL in the 6.5.  I know I could have purchased a .260 however, I think the Swede has a little more to offer.

How'd you squeeze a 3" cartridge into a 2.8" action?  ??? Perhaps you have a long action that was originally chambered in a short cartridge.  ;)

I originally bought a savage long action in 06 to convert; however, I shot it and I didn't convert it.

I had a SHORT ACTION 110 savage in ..243 which I had wanted to convert, but I found out the cartridge was to long, just barely.  I took it to a gunsmith who made it work.  Also had to put a long action magazine to accomdate the longer cartridge.  It can be done.  Yes the cartridge is longer than the .243;  however, there is enough room to make it work.

I killed a turkey and two deer with it in November.  Great cartridge, more than the .243 with about the same kick.

After the conversion, I have a left handed savage 110DL in 6.5x55, shillen barrel with a leupol 1.5x4.5 shotgun scope, and timney trigger.  I wish I had done it earlier.  I did not convert the long action kept in 06 which gives me a gun for something larger; however, in Florida nothing cannot be taken with 6.5.
