or less or something i would take a used one haha especially for that price lol i shoot rabbits all the time if i wanted ti save the fur what would i do and how about a bobcat fur and how do i skin them? well ttyl

Hey Craig, I don't have a 22-250 but I priced one myself and a single shot 22-250 scope and all was 300.00$ brand new. I now that a bolt action 22-250 is about six to seven hundred dollars. If your trying to save money if I were you I would keep using the 270, because it is plenty powerful, and a 223 is about 230.00$ out the door scope and all. hope I helped.

With your price range about the only thing I can think of is a rossi single shot in 223.  Bought one here in PA for 179  Plus tax and fees.  Best bet is to stick to the 270 as has already been said but go buy some of the remington reduced recoil loads.  They shoot a LIGHTER THAN NORMAL BULLET and usually group pretty well in a variety of rifles.  Little more fur friendly  than regular loads.  Spend the money on some.  Best of luck and spend some time reading prenious posts.  Tons of quaility info.

Agreed with sticking to the .270 for right now with the reduced recoil loads or perhaps some lighter bullet reloads from a friend?
This will allow you to get out some with the calls and to see what you think of it. It can easily turn into a favorite once you get the predators to come in.
