I have a chance to purchase a 611, but the slide is locked back and the gunshop can't release it. Any help would be appreciated. If a smith is needed any recommendations? Thanks, Guy

I have posted on every forum I know of and got no real help and very sparse responce. Too bad, it looks very nice. I did get it but wish I had bought beer insted!

Got it! I finally laid out hammers in various sizes[up to 8lbs!] I loosened the take down screw, held the rifle vertically over a pillow, and tapped the receiver lightly with a small plastic mallet. The buttstock fell out and the action snapped shut! A good cleaning and light lube produced a fully functional Brno 611! Who'da thunk it!
