ISHAPORE MARKINGS
« on: March 01, 2007, 01:36:01 AM »
I just picked up a 1915 ishapore that was arsenaled in 1932 but sporterized. My question is about the stamping on the left socket. England and under, F R with broad arrow in between pointing up, not a T. Now were they stamped this way or did the armourer grab the wrong stamp? The metal, bore, blueing is 99% so would like to find a complete set of wood if possible. Thanks for any help.
