prayers for a couple good friends
« on: April 03, 2007, 09:58:35 PM »
Two of my best friends are in need of prayers. Terry Merbach has been sick for about a month and found out yesterday that its his gal bladder and was in surgery last for it and my best friend Al was in for surgery on his neck monday and the camera was acting up so they had to cancel his surgery and send him home after they had him sedated and on the table. Hes waiting to here of a new date. These are both salt of the earth guys and about as avid of sixgunners as youll ever find. If you have time for a prayer for them it would be greaty appeciated

Lloyd, you are in our prayers too!  Do you have any new word about what they need to do and when they plan to work on your back?  44 Man

I have been dealing with back problems for about 5 years, had two surgeries, including a c4--c7 fusion.  I will eventually need additional surgery to help my lower back.  I have seen several drs all told me to hold off as long as possible becasue of all the breakthroughs in back surgery.  I am working with two pain management drs in Ann Arbor that have done wonders with pain control. I believe you live in Munising and it would take a trip below, might you might want to consider it.  PM me and I can give you contact info.

mikedb, I couldn't stand or walk from 1/07 thru 4/07. They made a 1" incision in my lower back and I knew upon waking up, that the pain was gone. Bone spurs and bulged disc were my problems. Now, to get back to work.

The surgery was actually a piece of cake. I went home after waking and a short stay in recovery. May God keep and heal you, LLoyd.

For my lower back I had a leaking disc.  They repaired it and the incision was so small it did not need stiches.  I went in at 7am was home by 1pm.  I did have to wear a brace when up for about 6 weeks.  My neck was another story, but the problem was much bigger.
