Changing bolt head on a 110
« on: February 22, 2007, 04:34:07 PM »
How do you change the bolt head on a 110? I have a bolt with a .223 bolt face and am wondering how to change the bolt head to a .308 size? I am planning on installing a 220 swift barrel on this gun. Any help will be appreciated.

Or would I be better off buying a complete bolt?

You can change the bolt head, rather than getting a new bolt.  One of the best things (in my opinion) about the Savage rifles is the ease in changing things around.  Sharp Shooter Supply sells bolt heads, and may even install them too.  I can't remember what they will do for you.  Midway USA sells bolt heads, and Numrich Gun Parts probably does too.
