Sounds to me like you're on the right track for the flags. Use sandbags for a rest til you can get a rest like Dillon has in their cataloge. It is pricey though. Over $100 bucks. I just use sand bags so I have more to spend on reloading supplies & guns.
What excactly are you goona be doing that you want the adjustable rest??
At gun shows there are sometimes army manuals;get one on rifle shooting, the M-1 Rifle if you can find one. It tells how to read the mirage & what the flags mean. It has some tables for windage also. Tell me a little more about what you are shooting & I may be able to help more.
