I'll go the other side and say the Nikon 4x. I used it use 3-9's on everything, then I realized that I never moved them off of 4x or 6x. So now I go for simple and used fixed powers. I've got a Nikon 4x Buckmasters on an Omega and like it very much. I also have a 4x Sightron on a Black Diamond, and a 4.75 Weaver Grand Slam on a Knight Disc Elite. Absolutely love them all. I'm thinking of getting another Omega and putting a 6x on it, just for a little extra power for the longer shots (well, not really, I just want another one).
One thing, either get a scope protector or put some tape on the scope to protect it from the blow by of the primer.
