Price check in Kansas?

I called Gander in Wichita to find out if and how much a 204 ultra varmint fluted was, and the guy couldn't even tell me if they had one. He did sound like he know what I was talking about. So if there is anyone around the Wichita area,  do you know or could you find out if Gander, Sportsmans Warehouse, Dick's or any other guns shops there has a NEF/H&R 204 in the Handi or Ultra Varmint Fluted and how much they are. I see on gunbroker they go for $220-$250 for the handis and $280-$319 for the UVF but I would like to find one locally so I don't have to pay for FFL fee and shipping. I'm a hour away from Wichita, I don't get down there to offten only if I need to stock up on  reloading stuff.

I was at Gander Mt. a few weeks ago and tried to order a 204 Ultra Varmint. He said that there were none to be found and could not order me it. So he did some more looking and ordered me a 22-250 Ultra Varmint I will have to send it in to get a 204 barrel. Ps it cost $319.00

RR has a bunch of the Handis in stock, but none of the UVFs. Sports South has the Handi is stock also, so if you have a Walmart that still sells firearms, they would be an option with no FFL.

Funny you should ask this.I was just in Wally world in Derby and the 204 is listed at $202 in the special order catalog.Don't know about in stock or not from Sport south.I think that's where they get them there.My son was wanting to get one and we were there shopping for grub.You could call them and have them check.Talk to Steve or Daniel. Dave, Sports South IS Walmart's supplier, and they do have the .204 Handi in stock, I just checked SSI's inventory. ;)

Give Whittaker guns a call a 270-229-0140 he usualy has a good supply. They may or may not show up on his web.

where are you located?  I was just about to say the same thing about whittakers.  He had several ultra varmint flutes the other day when I was there.  Didn't pay any attention to what calibers.  I know he has gone up on his prices on them though. They were in the 290 range.

That a good price on the UVF even shipped and ffl fee's its under $320 I'm going to look and call around this week and see if I can locate one. If not I guess I will have to order one. Or build one out of a handi, I see midway has choate stock and forend in stock, it would be the cheaper way to go just wouldn't have the 24" flutted barrel. Thanks for the input guys.

If you end up buying the stock separate, check with H&R, they have some pretty darn good prices on their stuff that beat anyone else, and I know their shipping is less than Midway, just about everyone is for that matter, tho!!! Wouldn't hurt. ;)

Huntnut where abouts are u in Kansas??u can go to enid okla and order 1 there from wally world or go by billy outdoors sports he has a 204 flutted with choate stock on hand

ok a few place in wichita are
Sportsmans Warehouse - my preference due to best customer service around
Que's gun emporium, north of wichita
Gander - i prefere not to go to them, customer service is horrible and expensive prices
Finley hobbies will order anything you want for 25 over his cost
Goddard gunnery will also order
also the walmart on west kellog still sells guns and will order if avialable, nice people also
All numbers are on yellowpages.com and all could answer your question over the phone.
If none have or can get one, i have an FFL that will do it for 10.00
P.S. i also live in wichita and i hope this helps

I called them two weeks ago about the survivor stocks.  The lady I spoke to gave me the following prices:

Survivor buttstock - $41.00
Survivor forend      - $17.00

If I send in for a new barrel from NEF, they SHOULD be able to fit the Survivor stock set.  Therefore, I shouldn't have to send anything but the receiver to them and save a little shipping to them.   The return shipping should still only be $10.00.
