First step of my Target rifle in place
« on: February 28, 2007, 05:13:01 AM »
Well, the receiver for my soon to be Target rifle arrived.  Now need to wait the 10 days to make CA happy.  In the meantime, I'll save for my 38-55 barrel, and stocks.

I'm going to go with a std pallet wood stock, monte carlo model, and sand the cheek piece to sit my eye at perfect height for the sights I'll put on it.  It will either be an un magnified tube sight or a black powder style (turn of the LAST century) tube scope.

Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money!!!!!!

But this will be fun.  I will be checking the chamber first off to make sure all is well.  Eventually this may become a 40-65 or some such.  Time will tell.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

Me too.

Hopefully you will get one with a tighter bore, .373 lands.  I saw a post by someone recntly who said his bore was in that neighborhood so there is hope!

Yea, I'll have to wait and see.  I'm trying to budget getting the chamber cleaned up, just in case.
