ill give you one for squirrels but the heavy load id suggest you look up in the loading manual. One of my favorite plinking loads in mine is a 150 lee cast round flat with 11 grains of unique. Now that bullet could be substititued for any cast 150-180 grain .357 bullet that will feed in your gun. Recoil is about like a 22 mag and its been very accurate for me.

THANKS Lloyd!

I have a bunch of moulds in .357/.358 from 120 up.  Where do you recommend seating the pistol bullets ?  Long or where they'll feed best?

try them in the crimp grove like you nomaly would in a pistol case. Actually using those small charges of fast powders it has been my experience that a light crimp with a factory crimp die will give you a tad better accuracy. If that doesnt work dont sweat it and just seat them where they feed the best. After all you doing this for a fun load and your going to want to run them fast.

Thanks, Lloyd!

I'll start with 140 WC's and 158 Keiths.

Tried some 173's and 200's with 11gr Unique.  Too cold and windy to do any accuracy tests, but they functioned well through the action and printed more or less in good groupings way out there near the big rock on the 100 yard berm.  (Iron sights.)  Shot about the same as the 200's at 10gr (found a bunch that I'd loaded five years back for a .35 Remington I'd not gotten around to shooting.

I load for a friend  with a 99/358 win. I load a 200gr. corelokt with cci 200 primers and a maximum charge of H-4895.Check your manual and work up carefully. With this load he dropped a 200lb. black bear this year.It never moved.I was impressed with the performance.Good luck,Jeff Taylor.

I have great respect for the power of the jacketed bullets - 200 and 250gr.  And since I have both the 35 Rem and 358 Win I'll likely use jacketed only in the .358 Win.  Both are about the same with the 200gr RCBS.
