Scope failures and handis
« on: March 01, 2007, 10:10:46 AM »
Do you think Handis have any more scope failures because they get jolted everytime you shut the action? The reason I ask is that with the forend off to check for lockup, mine has a tiny bit of side to side play unless I close it with authority and I've always been cautious about jolting my scopes. I have a Weaver 2.5X on it and I think it's pretty robust, but wonder if it's been a problem for anyone. Thanks..

I would think recoil is more severe than the jolt from closing the action firmly. Shooters like JPH45 that have put 8000 rounds thru 5 Handis in 3 years would certainly have had problems with their scopes if that was an issue!! ;)

Thanks, that's the answer I was hoping for!
