You can sand out the barrel channel and use the one you have.I use a socket wrapped in sand paper.Takes some time, but go slow and check often.Slow

The forearm for my 30-30 and my 223 bull barrel have the same channel . I can swap them back and forth and they fit fine.

As spanky said, they're the same, H&R doesn't make different forends for bull barrels, the forends fit all barrel contours from superlight to bull. There will just be more space around a superlight, and they'll fit the bull barrel close, and will need some sanding to provide some clearance to float them as Dave said unless other methods liike an O-ring are used. ;)

So a 26" .25-06  barrel would fit on my BC without too much trouble?

I'll work fine. With the exception of the superlight, the barrel diameters aren't much difference where the forearm is mounted.
