I just picked up a used 110E with painter stock and have stripped the paint to find a decent pc of wood iunder all that chipped paint. Very light wood and am ptting my lasxt coat of Tru Oil on this afternoon. Had my gunsmith work the trigger down to a crisp 4#. I added a sims pad on the butt, new sling and the last thing I'll do is bed the action. That being said i have never popped a cap on this 06 and am wondering how these rifles shoot. This is my first Savage. If I like it I may try to find one in 25-06.. The stock is turning out to be a dark blonde. I'll update on this post. What a pos it wouldn't put 3 shots in 2 feet. Traded it in for haevy babbel 22 and scope. This little rifle will shoots. Last Savage i'll own. Jess
