I had a custom Ruger Super Redhawk 454 Casull that Jack Huntington did in 2002, my buddy wanted it when I got my 4 inch 500 Mag so I did a gun swap with him, well the other day I was looking at it and I told him I missed that gun, well he knew I had just bought a Beretta O/U and he really like it, so he offered to trade it back to me for my Beretta O/U, so I did the trade.
Here is the custom work described:
The barrel was shortened to 2 1/2 inches.
Removal of scope mount.
Bead blasted the ghost gray finish and polished to a high gloss finish.
Installed a new front sight.
Inverted the muzzle crown.
Trigger and action job
Bobbed the hammer and serrated the top for single action use.
Modified the cylinder to accept moon clips.
The gun will shot 454 Casull's, 45 Colts, 45 Win Mags with moon clips and 45 ACP's with moon clips.
The gun is named the JRH Super Street Hawk.
I had someone post pick of it on different boards before and I really think that is where Ruger came up with the idea of the Ruger Alaskan.
If someone will post pic's for me, I can send you pics.
