Hey guys;
Im kinda new on this one, but have been reading you awiile.
Just wondering if any of you sow buckwheat....If so will deer feed on it?
The area is in SW VA.
My dad (76yrs young) is an avid bee farmer wants the buckwheat bloom....makes good honey?
Thanks

I've done the buckwheat thing before,deer will eat it until it blooms and starts to turn,then they won't eat it as much,but doves and turkeys will move in and get good and fat.If you sow it,use about 40-50lbs an acre.
