nylon 66 feed problems
« on: March 02, 2007, 06:47:16 AM »
I have a nylon 66 that has less than 500 rounds fired through it. I bought it new.
I know that sometimes is best ot leave a sleeping dog alone.  But i thought I would give the rifle a cleaning- the first.

Since I cleaned it it wants to feed double rounds

I can load a single round into the chamber through the feed tube and it fires ok. I can feed a single round through the tube nto the chamber and then other rounds into the tube and it will fire all ok.

Ihe problem is when I initally load several rounds into the feed tube, cock and it wants to feed two rounds into the chamber and a jam occures.

What did I do wrong with the reassembly??

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a magazine control issue., So check out the parts 11,12,13 in the drawing at the lnk.. My guess would be the spring which controls the next rounds egress from the mag..
