My experience with LC brass has been limited to .223 but in that chambering it is excellent stuff. It seems to hold about a grain less than most commercial brass so you might want to keep that in mind when working up loads. I've used LC92 extensively and love it. I also have significant quantities of LC88 and LC90 and while I've used them less than LC92 I can really tell no difference in them.

Thanks bill.
The brass I have been looking at will be 308 brass sorry I forgot to add that.
also I am aware of the smaller capacity with com vs mil brass.
Also has anyone formed the 308 military brass to  243 win brass?
thanks kurt

Have ran 308 military brass through a 243 SB dies and cut to length and they chamber fine, I just use 1 1/2 grains to 2 grains less than my usual loads and every thing works fine. Just mark case heads with finger nail polish to tell difference from your 308 ammo.

LC brass is generally pretty good.

Almost all 7.62mm military brass is heavier than .308 commercial cases.  Eight grains of brass has the same volume as One grain of powder.  You must weigh your brass after separating it by headstamp, including the year of manufacture.  Look for average weight, and consistency.  You might find a good lot with a small spread.  Generally loads in military brass hold about two grains less powder tham commercial.

I put different loads up in separate headstamped brass to give a visual difference, and work up loads specifically for that case.

Not .243, but I have converted cases to 7mm08.  As I was looking for extra accuracy, I neck-turned the cases.  I'm not sure how to handle the conversion to .243.
