Any BP Mortar/cannon shooters going to
« on: March 10, 2007, 11:17:49 AM »
Are there any BP Mortar/Cannon shooters going to the Wanenmacher Tulsa Gun Show the last weekend of this month?  I believe I'll be taking some of my BP mortars/cannons there for display and maybe even sell if there is any interest in em.  I'll be located on the upper level at 23 B 11.  Stop by and at least shoot the bull if nothing else.  I'm not posting any prices here as I do NOT want this post to be considered a "For Sale" thing.  Blaster (Bob in So. That's a great show, wish I wasn't 1,500 miles away. Have fun.

Bob,

Mike and I displayed our 100 Pdr. Parrott at the Wannamacker Tulsa Gun Show this past November.  It is a really great show with lots of variety.  Kansas Cannon Works had a nice display as did The Antique Cannon Superstore.  Three years ago we went to the March Show and we believe it was a little larger.  I wish we could go this month to see you and your cannons, but we have too many projects due in May and June to take the time.  Good luck; have fun.  Nice to know there is yet another cannon maker in Colorado.

Regards,

Mike and Tracy
Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

Will Bison, Mike and Tracy, sure sorry that you guys can't make the next Wanenmacher Tulsa show but that's how things go.  It amounts to a nine hour drive each way for me but I enjoy this show enough to drive that distance even with gas prices as they are.  I certainly must have seen the 100 pounder Parrott at the last show and it was on disiplay up on the upper level, if it's the one I'm thinking of.  Cannon and mortars are starting to show up at the show and there seems to be more interest in them all the time.  Especially since there are NO Federal restictions on them (YET).  Perhaps you guys will be able to make the next show.  Blaster (Bob in So.
