What is the mounying hole spacing on the Weaver and H&R scope base?  Thanks

I don't have a factory drilled and tapped receiver at the moment, my only observation is that if you mount a rear sight on top of a block on top of the barrel where a scope mounts you will need a really tall front sight.  Larry

Yep, I kinda figured that, too.  I am thinking more along the line of midway on the barrel, like the Tracker barrels or a rifle.  That part on the link is made to line up with 9/16 spaced Remington Sight holes and then all ya gotta do is add whatever dove tail rear sight you want.

I took a quick measurement of an extra Weaver base I have.
Looks like it's 1.015 from the first hole -closest to the hammer- to center,
  the center to the last hole -towards the muzzle- is 1.320,
 and from first to farthest 2.330 center to center.
I think thats about right.
