Polymer Frames
« on: March 14, 2007, 10:53:49 PM »
I have only one polymer framed gun-plastic if you will--but I have begun wondering if one can add most all sights such as bo-mar, slant pros or such too plastic?
I assume so, but don't know for fact.
I ask because addition of many require machining for the base.
Thanks for not calling me stupid--you probably are thinking it but haven't said so. ;)

The polymer guns have polymer frames not poly slides.  The slide which hold the sights are still a metal and would be able to be machined appropriately by a competant gunsmith.  Most of the major sight manufacturers make sights specifically sized for a particular model though so I wouldn't think it should really be much of an issue.  I know I ordered my MMC's and they fit my Hk perfectly.
