Pillar Bedding a Handi
«

I just finished pillar bedding my 204 Handi with laminate stocks. I got the machine shop at work to make a couple of aluminum pillars 0.625 inches in diameter and 0.35 inches long counter-sunk and drilled for the hold down screw. It was a real job opening up the hole for the pillar but I got it done and it looks pretty good. I used drills going up in increments of 1/16 on diameter and did it by hand as I have no wood working machinery.
Now to free-float in front of the screw and bed the stock. After this I will epoxy bed the barrel and lug to the action and shim in front of the spacer.
I also plan to stone the latch shelf just a bit. I am expecting 1 MOA average group size for four three shot groups.
This I will get done this week so I'll have a range report this week end if the weather cooperates.

Mc, posting pics is real easy if you have the pic saved on you PC..... when you create a post, hit the "Additional Options" below and to the left of the post window, then hit the "Browse" button next to the Attach window and find the pic on your PC and click it, it will show up as a thumbnail pic below your text in the post.
