60 cal muzzleloaders to be illegal in NJ

NJ legislature is amending the their destructive device law to outlaw the 50 cal BMG rifles, but it also outlaws any new made rifle 50 cal and up.  It also will outlaw muzzle loading rifles and pistols 60 caliber and up.

I just wonder, if there is any remembrance of history in this state, if there is a museum in Trenton celebrating Washington's great victory over the Hessians.
If so, Sweet Mother of God, what if they have some of the arms of the time behind that glass case? The feared Brown Bess used by the Hessians in the "way too big" .75 caliber.
Or, the Charleville musket that some of the Continentals used, in it's hellish .69 caliber.
I guess Big Brother of New Jersey will be confiscating these weapons and melting them down in a forge. They could take the stocks and just put a wooden broomstick in place of those hellish, illegal metal barrels, and put these "safe" guns back in the glass case. But, to be safe, it would be best to burn the stocks in a bonfire. And, if there are any books that the Powers that Be of New Jersey dislike, they could throw them in with the burning stocks.

If it ain't then it's gotta be teh longest pistol in the world!!!   

This is one of the reasons why I left that state back in '66.  When I left I never looked back.  From time to time I have had to go back and visit relatives and I can't believe the shape of that place.  It is over runned with people and looks to explode soon.  That is the northern part of the state.  It was a nice place to live years ago, but has been taken over by the secular progressives (SP).  It is a shame.

I'm sure them kind folks in Trenton, bein' the technical SOB's sort that they are, will understand when you explain that a Bess is a smooth bore or a flintlock shotgun, and they will no longer infringe on your right to enjoy our hobby. 

Just don't tell them you're loading it with a 70 cal roundball
